About the Job

We are now looking for a production statistician/researcher for the unit of justice statistics. The main tasks involve working with annual statistical production and, in between, writing in-depth summaries of the results on specific topics in shorter report formats.

In your role, you will annually produce one or more statistical products. The ongoing production work includes, among other things, producing and publishing statistics, writing statistical reports on the results, monitoring the environment, and responding to inquiries from both internal and external statistical users. Additionally, it includes quality review of various kinds and controlling and managing collected registry data that underlies the statistics. Alongside the ongoing production, you will write shorter reports where the results on a specific topic are analyzed and compiled. Furthermore, the work includes participating in the development and management of both work processes and statistical products within the team, as well as other tasks that fall within the team's area of responsibility.

  • good knowledge of Excel
  • very good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing, and good knowledge of English
  • and documented ability and experience in writing pedagogically and accessibly.

Experience in statistical production and familiarity with any data analysis software (SPSS, SAS, etc.) is an advantage. Knowledge of the justice system's operations and the criminal process is also meritorious.

Your Personal Qualities

As a person, you are meticulous and quality-conscious. You find it easy to communicate and collaborate with others but are also used to working independently. You are flexible and can handle several different tasks simultaneously, and you have an unpretentious attitude. In this role, it is also important that you can adapt your approach to each situation and have the ability to reprioritize when circumstances change. Great emphasis is placed on your personal qualities and abilities.
